Upaarjanam - A National Finance Case Study Competition: Stages and Timelines
Quiz on D2C
There will be an online quiz testing concepts, theories, knowledge in finance. The quiz will be in MCQ and TITA format. The duration of the quiz duration will be 15 minutes. There will be 20 questions in total. There will be no negative marking.
Case Study
Teams that clear Round 1 will get access to the case study along with instructions for submissions. The submissions need to be in PPT format in not more than 10 slides inclusive of Team Introduction Slide, which experts will judge (Naming convention - Team Name). The top 5 teams will be selected for the final round
Finale: The Panel Round
Final round will be held for Top 7 National Finalists virtually. The final presentation would be for 10 minutes followed by Q&A for 5 minutes. Presentation skills will be the major deciding factor along with the approach to the case. The entire event would be conducted over Zoom/ MS Teams.

उपार्जनम् is an online quiz and case study competition to give an opportunity to future managers to utilize their financial knowledge and engage in brainstorming to come out with the best solution.
This is to test your financial knowledge and skills through an online quiz followed by a case study competition conducted by Drishti 2021 - The annual college fest of Symbiosis Institute of Operations Management, Nashik.
So, participate and do invest your valuable time and knowledge to get the best interest.
Guidelines:
- This competition is open to only full-time MBA students from B-Schools.
- Organizers reserve the right to check the validity of the registration information submitted at any point in time.
- Any deviation from the above will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team.
- There is no restriction on the number of teams from an institute.
- The decision of the organizing committee will be binding in case of an issue/tie/discrepancy.
- The competition is comprised of three rounds.
- Round 1:-This is going to be a primary screening round through a finance online quiz. This quiz link would be active for a window of 1 hour. Only one attempt per team is allowed.
- Round 2: All teams qualifying Round 1 will get access to the Case Statement. They need to send in their PPT submission by the given deadline. The case presentations need to be confined to 10 slides, including introduction and thank you slides.
- Round 3: Based on the submissions, top 10 teams will be shortlisted as National Finalists. They will present their final solutions to the Faculty of SIOM, Nashik.
Rules for Team Formation:
- Number of members in a team: 1-3
- All the members of a team should be from the same college
- Replacement of any member is not allowed after registration
- A student cannot be a part of more than one team for the same competition
