Opathlon: Operations Case Competition & Simulation: Stages and Timelines
Round 1: Online Quiz round
Round 1 is a quiz where awareness and application of various operations and supply chain concepts like inventory management, quality control, process optimization, logistics, forecasting and so on will be tested.
Case Solving
Shortlisted teams will solve an operations strategy case and submit either a PPT or a PDF.
Simulation Game
The teams will be evaluated based on a real-time operations simulation game to apply their skills on the go. Team with the top most rank, in the end, wins the game. Further details will be sent to shortlisted teams.
Case Presentation
Shortlisted teams will present their case solution deck to a panel of judges and final winners will be selected based on the cumulative scores of the case presentation and simulation game. Both carrying the equal weightage.

IIM Bangalore’s international business summit Vista 2021, in association with OpMaC, presents Opathlon. A comprehensive set of challenges to test your operations knowledge. The competition evaluates your strategic thinking and decision-making skills through a case competition and a simulations game.
Rules:
- The registrations will close by 20:00:00, 17th July.
- Round 2 case will be accessible to the teams that qualify round 1.
- Teams must comprise minimum 3 and maximum 4 members, all of whom must be enrolled in a graduate or a post-graduate program at the time of the prospectus submission.
- An institute can have any number of teams participating. However, if a team member is found participating as a part of more than one team, all such teams shall be disqualified.
- Cross-college teams are allowed.
- Send the PDF named as <TeamName>_Case Submission via D2C.
- Only the first submissions made by teams before the deadlines will be used.
- All rounds will be conducted online.
