Opniscient 2021 - The Operations Management Challenge: Stages and Timelines
Round 1: Quiz for Track 1 (Business Track)
Eligibility: Strictly MBA Students. This is an initial screening Operations and Supply Chain Management Quiz for all the teams for Track 1. The quiz would be of 15 minutes and would comprise of questions pertaining to domain knowledge. The team members can collaborate and give the quiz. One attempt is allowed per team. In case of multiple attempts, the team will be disqualified. The quiz will be active for a window of 1 hour only. This is an eliminative round, only selected teams will go to the Round 2 of Case Submission.
Round 1: Quiz for Track 2 (Undergraduate Track)
Eligibility: Strictly Undergraduate Students from all Streams. This is an initial screening Operations and Supply Chain Management Quiz for all the teams for Track 2. The quiz would be of 15 minutes and would comprise of questions pertaining to domain knowledge. The team members can collaborate and give the quiz. One attempt is allowed per team. In case of multiple attempts, the team will be disqualified. The quiz will be active for a window of 1 hour only. This is an eliminative round, only selected teams will go to the Round 2 of Case Submission.
Round 2: Case Study/Poster Submission
Eligibility criteria for Track 1: MBA Students. Eligibility criteria for Track 2: Undergraduate Students. Track 1: Teams that clear Round 1 will get access to the case study along with instructions for submissions. The submissions need to be in PPT format in not more than 10 slides inclusive of Team Introduction Slide. Track 2: Teams that clear Round 1 will get access to the poster guidelines along with instructions for submissions. The submissions need to be in PDF format in single page (3*4).
Round 3: National Finale ( Case Study Presentation)
Final round will be held for Top 10 National Finalists virtually. They will be judged by a panel of judges comprising of Faculty from MDI Gurgaon and Industry Leaders. The dates for the same will be 13th Nov for Case Study Presentation and timings will be communicated well in advanced. The final presentation would be for 10 minutes followed by Q&A for 5 minutes. The entire event would be conducted over Zoom/ MS Teams.

Event Format:
- Round 1: This is going to be a primary screening round through an Operations and Supply Chain Management quiz for Track 1 and Track 2. The quiz link would be active for a window of 1 hour. Only one attempt per team is allowed.
- Round 2: All teams qualifying Round 1 will get access to the Case Statement for Track 1 and Poster Guidelines for Track 2. They need to send in their Case/Poster submission by the given deadline. The case presentations need to be confined to 10 slides, including introduction and thank you slides. Poster submission will be of single pager 3x4 size PDF.
- Round 3: Based on the submissions, top 10 teams from each track will be shortlisted as National Finalists. They will present their final solutions to the Jury Panel comprising of Corporate Leaders and Faculty of MDI Gurgaon.
Rules:
- This event is open to only MBA and Undergraduate Students.
- The result of the quiz will be communicated on Dare2Compete as well as on the official social media handles of Opsession.
- The team should comprise a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 3 from the same institute. Teams can be a mix of both 1st and 2nd year students.
- An individual can be a part of only one registered team
- There is no cap on the number of teams registered per institute
- The decisions of the organizers of the contest will be final and binding on all the participants
