Eligibility Criteria and Rules:

  • The treasure hunt is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline.
  • Any number of candidates can register from any campus.
  • Participating students have to register as individuals.
  • Participants will receive a confirmation email after registering themselves.
  • Students have to go through the T&C before participating in the hunt.

Key Instructions for the Treasure Hunt:

  • In order to win the ultimate prize - The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone, finish the Galaxy AI treasure hunt at the earliest.
  • The Treasure Hunt will have to be cracked in 4 hours.
  • Click on the 'Play' button during the specified time window of the Treasure Hunt round.
  • Participants will not be able to proceed to the next question if they don't answer the question at hand correctly.
  • Hints and clues for tricky questions will be disclosed on Unstop's Instagram handle (@unstop.world). So do follow and stay tuned to advance further, quicker!
  • The winners will be declared basis the earliest finishing time within four hours duration.

About Samsung

Mergers and Acquisitions:

  • AdGear was Samsung’s first pick in 2016. AdGear is a platform that specializes in digital advertising. With digital advertising expense across smartphones, wearables and other online devices anticipated to surpass $285 billion by 2020, digital advertising is one of the expanding domain in the advertisement division. It’s a strategic move for Samsung to make way into the digital advertising world, that allow better consumer engagement, pushing up the sales return on advertising.
  • Joyent, best-known for industry-leading products and services such as Triton and Manta, is a pioneer in public cloud computing and hybrid cloud.   • SmartThings was acquired by Samsung for $200 million to solidify its position as a leading provider of a smart, synced home center. SmartThings Hub can be paired with kits developed by Samsung and the product can sync to hundreds of devices.
  • Prismview, previously called Young Electric Sign Co., was acquired by Samsung in 2015 for an undisclosed amount to target the manufacturing of light-emitting diode displays. Digital billboards and message signs are the specialties of the Utah-based company. Application of liquid crystal display screens in televisions, smartphones, and tablets are done by Prismview.

Corporate Social Responsibility:

Through their social contribution programs, Samsung Engineering seeks to improve conditions around the world. Company-wide, they utilize their strengths and resources to benefit local communities and help children and families in need. Employees are encouraged to participate in the many volunteer programs launched by the company.

  • Building Libraries- Samsung as a part of its CSR has built libraries around the world for the children are ought to have a clean, safe, well-lit learning environment.
  • Book Donation- With library buildings being refurbished all around the world, the next task for Samsung Engineering was to fill those libraries with books, so they ran a parallel program donating books in the names of guests.
  • Technical School- In order to train local men and women in basic technical skills, such as welding and carpentry, Samsung Engineering began building technical schools near some of their major project sites.

  • Daddy Long Legs- A program initiated to maintain close relations with children from different countries.

  • Youth Dream Camp- This initiative of Samsung provides career counseling for the jobseekers living in Korea.

  • Educational Programs:
    • Samsung Smart Class- Samsung sees education as the seed of innovation and thus created the Samsung Smart Class program that supports education through the use of Samsung’s technology, services, and expertise. Established in collaboration with the Government schools in India, Samsung is committed to giving students greater access to education and also expanding the scope of learning.
  • Employability:
    • Samsung Technical School Program- Lack of career-oriented knowledge and skills-set among the youth is a pressing problem. Samsung has, through its Samsung Technical School, assisted the youth of today in designing their future and laying the foundation for financial independence by offering systematic vocational education and local employment.
  • Healthcare:
    • Samsung Smart Healthcare- Improving survival and functional outcome among patients through enhancement of hospitals, applying its medical equipment and technology is a major aim of Samsung. Automated biochemistry, immunology, and hematology equipment installed by Samsung will enable hospital departments to benefit, especially in cases of emergencies such as cardiac tests or accidents.
