Submission Round (via Unstop)

In the case round, each team will have to solve a case study based on real-time problems in operations and supply chains in the industries. Various operations strategies and tools can be applied to solve the case & to come up with the most optimum solution. Maximum of 4-slider ppt of the proposed solution excluding 'introductory slide' and 'thank you' slide. This will be a submission round! You will see the “Submit” button here, once the round is live

An online case competition that will challenge your understanding of operations strategy which in turn will drive you to come up with indigenous and innovative solutions. Through this platform, we invite the brightest minds of our country to bring out their insights at the table and propose the most efficient and innovative solutions to the firm providing the case. Are you willing to face the challenge? 

Registration:

  • Registration opens on 5th March 00:00
  • Registration closes on 11th March 20:30

General Guidelines:

  • The event consists of three rounds, each of which will be eliminatory in nature.
  • The challenge is open to all Streams of students both Under & Post graduates 
  • Each team should have 1-3 members.
  • A team can be a mix of students from any year of a particular stream.
  • Cross-college participation is not allowed.
  • A participant should be part of only one team.
  • The final decision of the winner and runners-up completely rests with the jury.
  • The final decision on the winner and runners-up will be based on the efficiency of the solution.
  • Teams found violating any of the above-mentioned rules shall be disqualified from all the events associated with Parakram 2024.

Round 1: Quiz

  • The quiz consists of 20 questions to be answered in 20 minutes.
  • Teams shall be shortlisted based on the correctness of each response and the time taken to complete the quiz
  • .The quiz can be accessed only during the stipulated time interval (21:30 to 22:30).
  • Participating teams are requested to plan their strategy accordingly. We strongly recommend starting the quiz before 22:10.
  • Only the Team Leader can access the quiz.
  • Toggling between questions is disabled. Once you progress to the next question, you cannot change your response to previous questions.
  • Screen sharing will be disabled during the quiz. Teams are not supposed to switch tabs/windows during the quiz.

Round 2: Case Submission

  • The final submission will be a single PowerPoint presentation of a maximum of 4 slides (excluding the appendix and the front page). It should be submitted in a PPT/PDF format.
  • Any Excel files if required, shall be uploaded in the additional field in the Unstop platform
  • The final submissions should be uploaded to the Unstop platform on or before 11:59hrs, 14th March. No submissions will be entertained after the deadline.
  • The file name should be Case_CollegeName_Team Name e.g. Case_IIMB_TheUnderdogs
  • Participants are encouraged to make maximum use of the primary data given in the case and any secondary resource presented in the final submission shall be suitably referenced.
  • The presentation will be evaluated based on novelty, comprehensiveness, and the feasibility of the idea/ solution.

Round 3: Case Presentation

  • The shortlisted teams will have to present to a panel consisting of (but not limited to) professors and industry representatives.
  • Winners would be decided by the panel and declared through email and social media handles of OpMaC.
