Preliminary Round
Each team member will take the quiz individually and these individual scores will be added to determine the final team score. You and your team's performance in the quiz will take you to Round 2. Top 10 teams per campus from the 12 campuses and top 5 teams from the wild card colleges will be shortlisted for the Campus Round.
Campus Round
Top 10 teams per campus will compete to be the best team on their campus and top 5 wild card teams from the Preliminary Round will move to the campus round. Teams will present their 2-page solution document to the judging panel, consisting of Senior Amazon Leaders and Alumni.
Grand Finale
The 13 National Finalists will compete in the virtual Grand Finale and present their solutions to an eminent jury of Senior Amazon Leaders. Winner, First Runner-Up and Second Runner-Up will win cash prizes, Pre-Placement Interviews (PPIs) and Amazon products/devices.

Amazon is back with the 10th edition of its Amazon Customer Excellence (ACE) Challenge 2020! This is your chance to Innovate, Strategize and Build diverse solutions for the Earth's most customer-centric company and to put your skills to the ultimate test!
Eligibility Criteria:
This competition is open to both 1st and 2nd year students pursuing any full-time MBA programme from the following institutes:
- Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi
- Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad
- Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore
- Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta
- Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore
- Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kozhikode
- Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow
- Indian School of Business (ISB)
- Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon
- National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai
- SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai
- Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jamshedpur
Wild Card Campuses
In addition to the colleges mentioned above, 1st and 2nd year students pursuing any full-time MBA programme from the following institutes can participate as wild card entries:
- Department of Management Studies (DMS), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi
- Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi
- Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ranchi
- Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Shillong
- Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Tiruchirappalli (Trichy)
- Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad
- Mudra Institute of Communications (MICA), Ahmedabad
- Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai
- Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur
Team Formation Guidelines:
- Students from any full-time MBA course from the eligible campuses can participate.
- Students must register in teams of four, each team member playing a critical role: Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
- Amazon believes that diverse teams are more successful at delivering diverse solutions.
- The participants can be from any specialization.
- Only students from the same campus can form a team.
- Cross-year and cross-specialization teams can participate.
- One participant cannot be a member of more than one team.
- There is no restriction on the number of teams from an Institute.
- Any deviation from the above-mentioned guidelines will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team.
Competition Structure:
Preliminary Round
- Each team member will take the quiz individually and these individual scores will be added to determine the final team score.
- You and your team's performance in the quiz will take you to Round 2. Top 10 teams per campus from the 12 campuses and top 5 teams from the wild card colleges will be shortlisted for the Campus Round.
Campus Round
- Shortlists from the Preliminary Round will move to round 2, i.e. the Campus Round. These top teams will attend a Webinar on Writing at Amazon, as they are expected to submit their solutions as a 2-page Word document, the Amazon way!
- Teams will be guided by a Senior Amazon Leader and case writers themselves to help them ace the case study document.
- The case study phase 1 will be shared at the end of the webinar.
- Top 10 teams per campus will compete to be the best team on their campus.
- The teams will present their 2-page solution document to the judging panel, consisting of Senior Leaders and Alumni.
- Top 3 teams on each campus will receive pre-placement interviews (PPIs) and the campus winner will get an invite to the Grand Finale.
- Top 5 wild card teams from the Preliminary Round will enter the campus round and the top team will receive Pre-Placement Interviews (PPI) and entry to Grand Finale.
Grand Finale Round
- 13 National Finalists will be working on phase 2 of the case. Each team will be assigned a mentor and a buddy to help and guide them in their Grand Finale journey.
- The National Finalists will compete in the virtual Grand Finale and present their solutions to an eminent jury of Senior Amazon Leaders.
- Each team will have 20 minutes to present their solution document, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A with the panel.
- The panel will declare a Winner, First Runner-Up and Second Runner-Up, who will win cash prizes, Pre-Placement Interviews (PPIs) and Amazon products/devices.
Note: Students are requested to register for the event using their official college email ids. First-year students who have not received their official college ids can register using Gmail ids (validated by their Placement Committee).
