Executive Summary Submission

Participants need to submit the executive summary on the given problem statement (case) as a 1-Slider PPT. Top 25 teams will be shortlisted for the next round.

All that you need to know about LOreal Sustainability Challenge 2019

L’Oréal Sustainability Challenge is a Digital Challenge for B-School & Engineering Students which integrates the mission of Sharing Beauty With All with Employer Branding. It integrates all the principles of sustainable development at the heart of the company, covering the entire value chain of innovation, production, consumers, and communities.

L’Oréal Sustainability Challenge is our commitment to living sustainably with the mission to educate and empower the communities to make sustainable consumption choices while enhancing the beauty of the planet.

For this, we want young and passionate change agents like you, to fuel this cause.

Eligibility and Team Formation Guidelines:
  • B-Schools: 1st and 2nd year full-time 2-year MBA students from all the B-Schools can participate in this competition.
  • Engineering: Only 3rd and 4th year students of B.Tech program and 3rd, 4th & 5th year students of Integrated/Dual Degree courses of the select list of 7 engineering colleges, as mentioned below, can participate in this competition
    • IIT Bombay
    • IIT Delhi
    • IIT Kanpur
    • IIT Kharagpur
    • IIT Madras
    • NIT Trichy
    • BITS Pilani
  • A team must consist of exactly 3 members
  • A team can be cross specializations or year of study
  • A student cannot be a part of more than one team
  • There is no restriction on the number of teams from an Institute
  • Any deviation from the above will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team

Competition Structure:

It's a three-tier challenge. Participants need to complete the first two stages to qualify and enter the Final Stage of the challenge.

Executive Summary Submission

  • Only registered teams will get access to the Problem Statement for the Sustainability Challenge.
  • Each team will need to submit a 1-Slider Executive Summary.
  • The first slide should contain team details, the second slide is for analysis or deliverables to the problems. You cannot add appendix slides. Any references should be given due credits.
  • There is no predefined format. You can use your creativity to make the best presentation.
  • Naming Convention: InstituteName_TeamName
  • Teams need to upload the file latest by 2nd September'19, 11:59 PM on this page itself.

Detailed Presentation Submission

  • Based on the executive summary submissions, we'll shortlist 25 teams.
  • These teams will make a 5-slider detailed presentation on the case.
  • The first slide should contain team details, other four slides are for analysis or deliverables to the problems. Any references should be given due credits. Appendix can be put beyond these 5 slides as 6th and/or 7th slide. No additional documents allowed as part of this submission.
  • Teams need to upload the detailed presentation file latest by 29th September'19, 11:59 PM on this page itself.

L’Oréal Factory Immersion

  • Top 25 teams will get a chance to visit the L’Oréal Factory. They will be shown L’Oréal’s work in the field of Sustainability.

Grand Finale

  • The top 5 teams, National Finalists, will get a chance to present to the senior leadership team at L’Oréal's Head Office in Mumbai, India.
  • Further details of the national level round will be disclosed after the submission rounds are complete.
  • All decisions in the matter of eligibility, authenticity & final judgment will be with Dare2Compete and L’Oréal.
