About Propel-

Propel, the incubator at BML Munjal University offers incubation with a view to nurturing business ideas to successful ventures. While in Incubation, the start-up ventures not only get to avail the various facilities of the incubator but also interact and learn from the experiences of other entrepreneurs. Propel provides the opportunity for start-ups to connect with the industry and grow their venture.

Propel Pitchfest21-

Propel Pitchfest21 is a platform to encourage new ideas, innovations, and young start-ups. It allows for the start-ups to interact with successful entrepreneurs, investors, and other eco-system players.

The pitching contest is categorized into 3 rounds. Teams/ individuals selected in the qualifier round will have to present their business ideas in front of our investor partners on an Online Platform, who will judge the participants based on certain predefined metrics. The teams/individuals will have to prepare models/charts depicting their business idea and its feasibility in the current economic scenario. The panelists will further scrutinize the proposed idea on the basis of their Business Model, Customer Development Model, and Financial Model. The top 2 teams/individuals will be given prizes and the best business idea might also attract investment from one of our judges.

Propel Pitchfest21 would include:

• Pitching contest for start-ups with prize Basket of INR +15 Lakhs (1.5 Million)
• Panel discussions with Thought Leaders in the Start-ups ecosystem
• Masterclass sessions 
• Individual mentoring/networking with investors and legal experts.

Start-ups for this pitching event will be categorized under 3 Tracks:

• Product-Based-Start-ups {INDIAN START-UPS}
• Service-Based-Start-ups {INDIAN START-UPS}
• Foreign-Based-Start-ups {FOREIGN START-UPS}

Eligibility

• Innovative technology-based product or service start-ups
• Start-ups whose Annual Revenue: Zero-to-nominal (up to INR 10 Million) and up to USD 150,000 for global applicants
• Start-up Founder/Co-Founder must be present for pitching
• The start-up must not be older than 3 years

• Innovativeness of the idea
• Market Validation and Traction
• Business Model

General Guidelines:

• The team size for the event is limited to 1-5 individuals per team.
• An opportunity like this is open for everyone. To ensure fair play, multiple registrations (same numbers/ email ids) are not allowed. In any case of multiple registrations. The participant who has registered multiple times and in many teams will be removed from this competition and all other competitions hosted by us without any prior notice.
• All the decisions in the matter of authenticity and final judgment would be with Organizers.
• Any deviation from the above-mentioned guidelines will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team.
• All the other information will be communicated through emails to the respective teams.
• Any changes in the process will be communicated through email and will be posted on our social media handles.

Runner Up (Indian Start-Up Product)

• Cash prize Rs 30,000,
• Invite to join Incubation Program at Propel with seed funding support of Rs. 1 Lakh,

Winner (Indian Start-Up Service)

• Cash prize Rs 50,000,
• Invite to join Incubation Program at Propel with seed funding support of Rs. 2 Lakhs,

Runner Up (Foreign Start-Up Product/Service)

• Cash prize USD 500; Invite to join Incubation Program at Propel with the seed funding support of USD 1250

All the finalists will receive an Invite to join Incubation Program at Propel with the seed funding support of INR 1 Lakh and USD 1250 for global applicants. 50% discount on the annual subscription of slate cash management; Membership to TIE Delhi for finalists of Indian Tracks; Selection preference to First Gear program by Ah Ventures; Pitching opportunity with Angel Investor networks.
