The Quiz
A consulting quiz to test one's consulting aptitude, analytics and knowledge. Some quizzing facts about consulting companies, success stories of business conglomerates and questions along those lines.
The Case Study Competition
The Case Study Problem statement has been attached here. Please do go through the same and submit the solutions before the deadline.
The Finals
The top 27 teams that had submitted the case study have been issued participation certificates for the 2nd round, i.e, the Case Study round. The top 5 teams from amongst these teams will be announced by 3rd September 2020, after which there will be a live presentation round on the 5th. Following which, we will announce the top 3 teams as the winners.

Socialis Impulsum is 180 Degrees Consulting IIT Madras' flagship case study competition which gives you a chance to showcase your problem-solving acumen, data analytics and complete key challenges of the problem statement.
Socialis Impulsum brings a problem statement from the world of consult and analytics.
So are you ready to enter participate in this Quiz+Case-Study competition?
Eligibility & Team Rules:
- This competition is open to any student pursuing any degree across the world.
- Students must register in teams of 2 to 4 members.
- Cross-college teams are allowed.
- One person cannot be a member of more than one team.
- Any deviation from the above will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team.
Stages:
Socialis Impulsum will have 2 elimination rounds to test you on your problem-solving, analytical, and ideation skills before the final presentation and submission of the case study which will be judged by domain experts from our partnering organization.
Level 1: Consult and Aptitude Quiz
- All registered teams will have to take an online quiz, with the only team leader being able to play the quiz.
- Every team will get a set of 30 questions to be answered within 25 minutes.
- All teams will be taking this quiz simultaneously during the quiz window. Results for this level will be declared within 48 hours of the quiz window.
- Majority of questions will be from some situational consult case problems, success stories of business conglomerates, terms and definitions in the world of consult, analytics and economics, and aptitude.
Level 2: Online Case Competition and Presentation
- Shortlisted teams from Level 1 will have to participate in a case competition and presentation.
- You'll be given a case study of all relevant facts and figures from CEEW. The problem statement is an extremely relevant problem in today's world and your solutions may even be utilized for policy recommendations.
- Teams will have access to a large corpus of information that we provide and all assumptions have to be stated and justified.
- You'll be able to make submissions until the deadline for this round anytime during the challenge window.
- Top 5 teams from this level will finally move on to the final presentation through an online live meet and the winners will directly be announced from the top 5 teams.
Case Study:
- To be available only to teams who qualify the first round.
All registered participants to get a certificate of participation. And all participants moving on to the second round will get a certificate of merit. Winners to get a certificate of excellence in addition to the prizes announced.
