About Uber Technologies Inc.

Uber is a technology company whose mission is to help power the movement of both people and things. To accomplish this, they use proprietary technology to develop and maintain multisided platforms that offer a variety of services to users, including connecting service providers with potential customers.

Uber matches consumers looking for rides with providers of ride services who operate their own independent businesses, as well as with other forms of transportation, including public transit, bikes and scooters. They also connect consumers with restaurants, grocers and other merchants for the purchase of meals, groceries and other items, while matching them with independent delivery service providers. Uber additionally connects shippers with carriers in the freight industry and their technology is available in over 70 countries and cities around the world.

The idea for Uber was born on a snowy night in Paris in 2008, and ever since then, their DNA of reimagination and reinvention carries on.
